Simply stated, colored concrete is standard grey concrete that has been pigmented at the surface or throughout the entire matrix of the concrete.
Integrally pigmented concrete is produced when a coloring agent, usually iron oxide based pigment, is added to the concrete and thoroughly mixed, producing a uniform color throughout the concrete. Colored pigments can also be casted on the surface of a concrete slab as well to produce a desired color.
KEY FEATURESFor integrally pigmented concrete, uniform color throughout the concrete is obtained.
Colored concrete is delivered ready to be placed and finished at the project site after the colored pigment has been added at the batch plant.
